At hej:pure, we consciously view sustainability holistically: In doing so, we have not just focused on a single aspect of sustainability, such as packaging, but rather responsibly developed the entire product from the folding box to the fragrance itself. What does that mean?

#REDUCE

We have deliberately dispensed with unnecessary packaging materials and finishes and developed a reduced design. Without plastic caps and cellophane foil, we want to counteract the plastic flood.

#REUSE

Already recycled materials such as glass and fibre are reused in our flacons and folding boxes. The pumps of the beautiful looking flacons can be unscrewed and the empty glass bottles reused for another purpose, e.g. as pretty DIY vases

#RECYCLE

All packaging elements (metal clip, glass bottle and folding box) are recyclable. The entire hej:pure series has been certified with a very good recyclability of 98 % by the “Cyclos” institute.

Without plastic cap

We have deliberately dispensed with the plastic cap in order to save a lot of plastic.

Clean formula

Less is more – this also applies to the formula! 0 % controversial ingredients, but 100 % vegan.

Recycled material

The glass bottle contains recycled glass and the folding box 100 % recycled paper. FSC certified, of course.

Clean inks

We only use water-based, environmentally friendly inks to print our folding boxes

Without cellophane

Our folding boxes do not need any extra plastic.

Recycling

You can unscrew the spray head and throw it into the yellow recycling bin together with the metal clip. This way you ensure that the precious raw materials can be recycled and used to create new things.

For the bin:

The folding box and glass bottles are WITHOUT FRILLS and super easy to recycle. Just put them in the paper and glass bin

DIY

Give this pretty glass bottle a second life. Simply unscrew the spray head and use it as a small DIY flower vase, for example! Otherwise, just throw it in the waste glass to fully recycle the bottle.

Climate protection

Combinated Project, marine protection, Plastic Bank Over 8 million tonnes of plastic waste end up in the sea every year. Especially in developing countries, the infrastructure for proper disposal is often lacking. This project ensures that less plastic ends up in the sea and is recycled instead by involving the community. In Haiti, Indonesia, Brazil and the Philippines, local residents collect plastic waste from beaches and have the opportunity to exchange this ocean plastic at collection points for money, food, drinking water or school fees.
